Can anyone help me pls,,,we are applying for my hubbies ILR in 2 days time in Croydon london, he is from egypt, just the appliation for asks if he had his biometric finger prints done abroad before coming here which he did, it is asking for the british diplomatic post involved (section 8) ???? anyone advice us on this??? he had them done at a police office in cairo....worried as we cant put in appliction without all answers!!!!!!!!!!!

When did he have his biometrics done in Egypt? Current rule is it can only be done at visa application centre (i.e. British consulate) in Cairo or Alexandria. The biometrics (fingerprinting etc) done at a police station weren't for obtaining UK visa, surely? So which consulate did he go to? Or did he apply for his visa such a long time ago that biometrics weren't part of the requirement then for a visa? If that's the case, answer NO to the question.
