Default US Fiance Need help!

Hi all, we need help. I am English and I have an American fiance and we are planning for her to move to the uk on a fiance visa initially then upgrade to the spousal visa afterward. We haven't got the money to pay for a lawyer so we are doing it ourselves.

I am in America visiting at the moment but will fly back on july 17th. My fiance will then apply for the visa and hopefully join me on the visa within a few months. I have been offered a job beginning september 10th 2012, with BT on their graduate scheme up in Manchester. I will have a starting salary of 27,750. If someone could help us with these questions that would be great.

1. On the form it asks me for the address we will be living when we are there. That will be in Manchester but as I haven't sorted a flat yet I don't have an address. My dad has more than enough room for us if we need to stay with him in birmingham before the job starts. Should I put his address, and explain what will be happening later on, and include a letter of written consent from my dad? or should I just explain about living in Manchester.

2. It also asks me to provide details of my pay. As at the moment I am unemployed until I begin the job in september, what should I do? I have the contract from BT detailing what my pay will be, is this proof that we will have sufficient funds to cover ourselves?

Any help in this matter is much appreciated!

Thanks.

If you don't apply before 9th July (when new rules come into effect) you must first demonstrate that you've been earning at least the minimum £18600 pa over a period of 6 months or more (a confirmed job offer is not accepted for sponsoring partners who already reside in the UK).

However, if your fiancée applies BEFORE 9th July, a confirmed job offer would be considered (provided your starting date falls within 3 months). The visa can be post-dated 3 months ahead so you would have until end September before your 6-month fiancée visa would start), but provided you have lodged the application and paid for it before July 9th, you will avoid the need to demoonstrate 6 months of earnings together with the much longer probationary period.
