Schengen Visa for Spain (Spouse in UK)

Hello

My wife and I live in London. I am a UK national and she is Kenyan currently here on a spouse visa. We have booked to go on holiday to Spain in mid-July and she has an appointment to submit her Schengen Visa Application at the V4S centre in London on Friday. We visited Belgium in December 2015, successfully applying for a Schengen visa at that time.

The document list per the Spanish Consulate includes the following:

Passport or travel document valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended departure from Spain and with at least two full blank pages to affix the visa. A passport that has been issued (not extended) during the past 10 years can be endorsed with a visa.
UK residence permit and photocopy with a validity of at least 3 months beyond the intended departure from the Schengen area.
Original and photocopy of EU passport or national ID card of the EU national or Spanish national.
Original and photocopy of the Libro de Familia (with the marriage registered), applicable to family members of Spanish nationals.
Original and photocopy of the marriage certificate and an official translation (Spanish or English).
Partnership certificate / accreditation of marital coexistence for one year
Proof of joint travel to Spain (i.e. confirmed tickets to travel to Spain both for the applicant and the EU/EEA national), or of the intention to join the EU/EEA national who already is in Spain.

Please can someone advise what this accreditation of martial coexistence for one year is? We did not have to submit this when going to Belgium in December 2015. i can't find any guidance on the internet but worried they will refuse if we don't have it.

Thanks for any help.

Neil

They do all seem to have varying regulations. I'd assume from the list that your UK visa information would be sufficient. I've heard of people having to supply proof of 'joint parenthood' for entry when they're not an EU citizen, but if you don't have children then I'd take your wife's UK visa information. If you're unsure, though, maybe call the Spanish embassy in London?
