Default Hiscox Car Insurance & PW car consultants

Anyone ever hear of these 2. Hiscox quoted me 4120 GBP for 2 cars- one being a BMW 320d and the other Hyundai Santa Fe. Keep in mind I have a US license and just moved here. He said bc Hiscox only does premium cars it would actually be more expensive if I got a cheaper vehicle with other insurance companies.

Since I have no credit in the UK- PW car consultants are able to provide me both vehicles for approx. 900 pound a month lease. Any feedback on these deals or either company?

PW consultants specialize in arranging vehicles for people that are relocating- guy I was speaking to Peter was very nice. Any feedback on either and has anyone used anyone else similar to these guys??

Thanks,
Yusuf

That sounds very expensive, I would look elsewhere before committing

I cannot answer your question, I have always had an English driving licence, but Direct Line, Hastings perhaps these might help, or insurance brokers.

Cost of insurance and leasing is always going to be high, because the providers have to take on greater risk of accidents (due to unfamiliarity with British roads) and of possible default (e.g. someone leaving the country only half-way through a leasing term and is untraceable).

As I've said, forget about high-performance cars and go for cheaper cars I've suggested, get UK licence, build up UK driving experience and no claim bonus.
