Former British Childminder seeks work!

I am a 30 year old with NNEB and 14 years childcare experience.
My children start school/nursery in the New Year and I would like to return to this field of work, part-time.

I am based in Limassol.
I have a clean driving licence and my own transport, and am willing to travel.

If anyone thinks they may have an opportunity for me please reply via this forum,

Almost every Cypriot in the larger towns who has young children have childminders to look after their children. Unfortunately they are almost all live in positions (which include a bit of cooking cleaning and general housework too). These jobs provide accommodation and food, so the salaries are small - these positions are normally occupied by young Fillipino and Sri Lankan women for whom the few hundred Euro they are paid is a small fortune.

You may find that the growing numbers of kintergarten and pre-primary schools and playgroups that are opening will need people with childminding experience, although many are now seeking TQS as well - even for teaching assistant posts.

Good luck with your search for work - most ex-pats find job searching a bit of a challenge at first- you must meet people face to face and be prepared for a bit of a shock when it comes to salaries offered. Normally however, once in a position the fringe benefits, the laid back life style and the healthy attitude to work-life balance more than compensate for the low salaries.

Hi, We require childcare for our 9 month old son, however we need it on a full time basis for approx 2 months, until we get a live in nanny arranged.
Would you be interested in full time and where are you based?

Hi Sara I am based in Agia Fyla, Limassol. I would be interested in this full time post as it is not long term. Would you prefer your son to be looked after in your own home? My children are still currently at home with me...
