Hi
a company is looking to employ me ( although i am not still in australia ) for 60k annum

this is for a family of 3 ( me , my wife , son ( 4 yrs old ) )

will that be a good starting point for my career in melbourne

how is the trend with pay hikes in australia ?

does that include Super? For a starter you will do fine (coming with a job in hand is better than none) but in a couple of months you would want to change. spend first 6 months in this position and then look for an offer that pays you atleast 80-90 including super (and i said atleast). You will get close to 400/fortnight for your son from centrelink. Once you settle in, put your son in kindercare, with your wife working things will be better.

then i have to find a way to pump up the salary
with maybe relocation package or housing allowance or something like that !!
