Default Electricians - VETASSESS skills assessment

Hi All

I've just discovered that electricians are no longer assessed by TRA for certain countries (mine included) and that this now falls to VETASSESS. Unfortunately no-one at my sponsor company has been through this new process so I don't have much to go on.

Anyone have personal experience with this?

Thanks

Hi Andy,

Quite a few members on here have done VETASSES so I'm sure they'll give you some pointers.

Hi There,
My Husband has just been through the Vetasses process and passed Yipee. You can apply on line at VETASSESS - Vocational Education Training and Assessment Services.

First you have to send them all your proffessional documents and certificates along with job descriptions and work references. Then once you pass that you take a practical. This involves a paperbased exam and practical session. Pete got his results about two weeks after this. They only do a certain amount of practical sessions in each county per year. These dates are on the website. Get in there quick with your documents though because it took about 10 weeks to get that through.

Good Luck

Kezza x
