Default Visa Granted

I have had a state sponsored visa granted for WA and plan to move to Perth later this year.

I have also had a job offer with a salary of $110,000 per annum and I was interested to see if this is a good salary. There will only be two of us living on this salary and I was wondering if this would be sufficient to rent a 2-3 bed house and live a reasonable lifestyle. Any advice would be useful. I was in Fremantle 10 years ago on a working holiday visa but that was some time ago and I am looking for up to date information.

Hi Gaz,

Welcome to the forum...

...but more importantly CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Yep, that's a good salary. You'll live comfortably on that.

If you check out the rental section on Real Estate, Property, Land and Homes for Sale, lease and rent - realestate.com.au that'll give you a rough idea of what rentals are going for at the moment.

Good luck.

Dolly

Congratulations Gaz!

There are links for property in the "PLEASE READ...." post and there is the "Cost of Living" post too towards the top of the forum.

Regards,
Karen

Congrats Gaz

from what i have read, it is much above the average salary which is 35,000/pa. you monthly expense leading a comfortable life would not cross 3,500-4,000 A$. but again, comfortable fro some would be congested for some. a two bedroom accommodation would not be more than 400$/week in perth. and other expenses including electricity, grocery, internet would come to another 1500A$ a month, add additional 1000$ for miscellaneous. which leaves you with 2500$ as a saving each month. :P and if go tight on your spending, you can manage some more

wish u luck
