Question Difference between 175 and 176

Hi Experts,

What is the difference between Visa type 175 and 176. I know 176 is state sponsored and 175 is self. in 176 we have to remain in same state for 2-4 years.
but from job prospective which one is better, in which chances to get a job is high and fast and in which one individual can avail state provided benefits?

Thanks.

Ravi.

There is a two year waiting period before you can apply for centrelink payments for both 175 and 176.

Question

Thanks Kurai,

any difference in providing document/certificates or financial status while applying in these two visa classes.

When you say Two year waiting list, mean total visa processing will take more then two years?

thanks,

Ravi

for 176 you have to secure a sponsorship by the state, no other difference, for 176 you have to be in the sponsoring state for 2 years, then you are free to move on.
document wise, its all teh same, states do need fund proof and a commitment statement, these are the only two extra documents that are needed, else more or less everything else is given for assessment and then the sponsorship adn then the visa.

Not every state asks for bank statements. QLD asks for it where as SA and WA doesnt ask for the same. So check in the state website for the application checklist requirements.

If its a single person then roughly the expectation of total funds would be around 20000$ to 25000$. Add 5000$ for each dependents in addition if applicable.

Good Luck.

Cheers.

the state that asks for 20k for main applicant will ask for 10k every dependent and those who ask for 25k need 5k each dependent.. check the respective sites for exact figure

and they are not charging fund proof, they ask you to show money to make sure you are self sufficient if you do not get a job easily
