Default Thinking of relocating to Australia, can anyone help ?

Hi there,

I am a British passport holder and under the age of 45.
My wife, our daughter and myself are thinking of making the move.

If anyone can help with the following it would be much appreciated.

1) Any websites for long term rental properties ?
2) As a company director of my own Limited company, where would I stand on the points allocation for my occupation, as I don't see it on the list ?

Any other advice would be most welcome.

Regards, Dave

Then its most likely that it does not apply.... Its a skills assessment.... I may run a successful estate agency but that does not mean I have skills (I may just be lucky)

BUT

If you have $$$$ - No problem

A good point Halo!

My OH is also a company director, and the DIAC website afforded him 60 points for that.
I am applying for the visa (457), as a nurse, cos we got more points that way!

DIAC and a migration bod would be best to help you.

Good Luck
Jane

Hi Dave,

1) Have you checked out the sticky posts at the top of the forum? They will help you with the move especially the "PLEASE READ..." one which has links to other useful websites.

2) It depends on what else you do in your company. I was the director of my own limited company too but I was also the IT analyst programmer and that's how I got in.

You can also contact migration agents (their first consultation is usually free), just make sure they are MIA or MARA registered (see "PLEASE READ..." post) and we also have Alan Collett and SOMV (Veronika) on this website.

Regards,
Karen
