Living out Expenses

Greetings Folks. My name is Raymond and I am new to this Forum. I would really appreciate your input on the following: I am from SA and I have a job offer in Melbourne on a 457 visa. I have been told by my prospective employer that as part of my remuneration, I could claim a living out expense if I can display proof that I own a property back in SA that incurs running expenses and Maintenance. Is anyone aware of this are how this work.
