Default Moving to Oz

Hi

I have just returned from Australia where I was on a working holiday visa. I now want to return to Australia and my previous employer is willing to sponsor me when they have a vacancy in December as a mortgage broker in Sydney. I wanted to know how easy/hard this is as i am not currently in Australia and the costs and timescales. What i need my employer to do? I know they have sponsored people before and are an approved company. Any ideas to speed things up and tips would be greatly appreciated

thanks

Hey Paramo I can't answer your question, but I have one to ask you myself.
What country are you originating/selling loans in? I am a Loan Consultant at Washington Mutual in the US and of course this industry is not doing well at the moment. If you find out anything about this as far as the security of keeping a job like this in Australia can you send me a private message and let me knoe any information you find out? As I find out anything I will let you know also. Help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

I am based in the UK now. Job security is an issue however the company I worked for seem pretty confident that they can continue to grow. I dont have any other information so I guess that it would be a risk you'd have to take.

thanks for your reply and I will let you know if i do find anything else out

Hi a.paramo,

You don't have to be in Australia to apply for a visa - most people are outside when they apply. The visa types can be found through the link in the "PLEASE READ...." post for sponsorship, and they may say what the employer has to do. If not it may be worth contacting one of the agents that post on this forum - Alan Collett or SOMV (Veronika) to see if they know what the eomplyer needs to do. We tend to only know what we need to do since this is what our members experience

Regards,
Karen
