Hi Phil,

I would try more than one agent. We were told by 2 agents that we couldn't get in and the third agent said yes we could and we've been here just over a year now.

The last I heard (and I'm not an agent) HGV drivers were in demand in South Australia since in the regional areas move things move by road. We have some agents on the forum (Alan Collett and Veronika (SOMV)) and it may be worth checking with them to see if they say the same thing as the other agent.

You say 'we' could you get in with your partner as first applicant? Just an idea but it worked for us. We thought I would be first applicant because I was in IT but because I was a contractor without a degree it would have been very hard (and some agents said we wouldn't get in). However my husband being a gardener was also in demand and that was how we got in.

Good luck,
Karen
