Default need help with visa types

Hi,
I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but I cannot seem to find the answer on this forum or on the immigration website. My husband and I are currently living in Dubai UAE and we hate it. We are from Canada and wish to move to Australia. My husband has lived there before (not more than 3months at a time) on visit visas and has friends there. We want to move to Queensland around the Brisbane area. We both work in aviation. I am a flight dispatcher (not on the list) and he is a helicopter pilot.. also lacking the list. I have had several professions and can easily do an administrative type of job. How about real estet agent? I've done it before. He is working on trying to get a sponsored job. On my side it seems I can't find anyone to sponsor me. If he can't find a sponsor, what are our options? Are there other types of visas we can get to let us live and work there? Has anyone used an agent and how much do they cost? I see people here get scammed all the time with agents to get them into Canada. It's such a shame.

Hi Canadianangel,
there are many visa types!
Have you looked at Permanent residency, subclass 175?
Or maybe a working holiday visa, for 1 year?
Most agents would be able to steer you in the appropriate type to apply for....
To the best of my knowledge, estate agents are licensed in Oz, so you would need to get the requisite qualifications, i'm sure.
I think most visas are processed with an eye on employment, financial status etc.
Medicals are required for a lot of the subclasses so be aware of how that fits in, and the cost!!
Good luck, hope you get out of UAE soon
Jane

Thanks! As for the working holiday visa... it's a no go we are both over 30. As for the real estate agent thing.. looks like it won't work either.. only scoring about 80 points and I don't have the local license on top of that. Really hoping my husband can find a sponsor. I think it'll be our only way in

I would ask some agents since the first consultation is usually free.

I'm surprised that helicopter pilots aren't on the list... I guess there's just not a whole lot of need for them here? Seems odd.. anyway I agree with Kaz that a chat with an agent may be helpful.
