Hi all

got my permanent residency through in less than 1 month from date of application received at the London Office, i'm so excited.

Is there anyone else planning on moving to Mentone VIC, or does anyone know anything about Kilbreda college for girls??

Cant wait to get away from this crappy weather!

Hi

Got police clearance before i applied filled out all forms correctly myself and maybe cos my husband is an australian citizen?? dont really know how it was done so fast. i had to ge for medicals also and so did my daughter.

I was really surprised, i think if you have no crim record and your medicals are fine and the more money in the bank the better its plain sailing from there.

Have you applied??

Hi,

They also ask about proof of all assets, so that will count regardless of cash in bank, we are in Ireland and my husband is irish also, he emigrated to australia with his family when he was 13, so he is basically irish with 2 passports.
we have house here also, no point in trying to sell in current house price climate, so we've decided to rent it out and hang on to it, your house in england will pay off in the end better to hang on to it as property in OZ is sooooooooooo cheap

CONGRATULATIONS!

I love to hear when someone else has got in too!
What sort of PR was it? Was it a spouse visa since you mentioned that your husband has both passports?

It really depends on where your moving to (and where your moving from ) as to whether property here seems cheap

Karen

First of all, congratulations!

Second, the weather here is crap at the moment, too! hehe
I live fairly close to Mentone and I like it a lot, very lovely down by the sea Once it heats up a little (sorry, I have the winter blues at the moment) it'll be great

CONGRATULATIONS!!

As Tiffany said, the weather's not too good at the moment, it's really cold so pack your thermals! But, it's still not half as cold as an English winter. Not too long now before the nice weather starts
