Talking Will children with illnesses hinder application

Hi there

I have spoken to Go matilda about helping us with my Husbands visa application and something they said has struck a cord! They asked about jobs, children, past criminal records yadda yadda and then asked if we had any illnesses. I automatically said no but infact both my children are dairy intolerant but dont really veiw it as an illness so to speak! They both need special formulas which we get free as their children! There no longer on medication and only have a few check ups mainly with a dietcican.

Does anyone no if this will hinder his application?? Were only just going for the skills side atm.

thanks

Hi ozziewannabe,

The reason that they ask about illnesses is to check that everyone will get through the medical. If anyone has an illness that requires ongoing treatment and will be a drain on the Aussie system then they might get turned down. I very much doubt that allergies would fall into that category however it would be worth telling them about it just to set your mind at rest. You may also want to check if you will get free special formulas for them here since you don't seem to get much free here (it's a very different system from the UK in my experience).

Regards,
Karen
