Default Teaching jobs?

My wife currently teaches in Modern Studies in scotland. It's a politics based subject.

Does anyone know if there are any similar subject on the curriculum in Australia?

Thanks

As far as high-school goes, each state has its own curriculum and the subjects offered are pretty standard. In Victoria the subjects we have that are slightly related are international politics and national politics, here's the whole list:
List of VCE Studies - Studies - VCE - VCAA

I couldn't find anything else related to 'modern studies'. You'd have to go to a university to find this sort of subject. At university there would be hundreds of subjects similar to that, but in high-school it's very dry.

Thanks for that, that sounds like a similar thing, modern studies is loosely about national and international politics.

Thanks again, it's a good place to start looking.

Hi All,

My wife is a doctor (BHMS) who teaches biology for 11th and12th Grade students. Is there any scope for her to work as a teacher? We are moving on a skilled migration regional TR visa

Warm Regards,

DS
