Just to say hi and what a great forum!!!!

Hi to you all

I have been looking at this forum for the past 12-18months! (what a wonderful lot you all are and in June finally started my visa 175 application. Mainly due to the fact i had to have been, qualified in my chosen profession for 12months (a midwife!!) Well despite being a nurse for the previous four years i waited so i could persue my midwifery dream. Well i posted out my application to ANMC via agent 04/07/08 so am now in the waiting process again!! i suppose we get used to that!!!!!!.

We are a family of four, hubby & 2xchildren age 8 & 10. My husband is a plasterer so hopefully will find work when we are over there, thinking of Brisbane due to the fact my cousin moved there 2 years ago and loves it (a good starting place!!!) Well a huge thankyou to everyone who adds to the forum as its such a great help to people like me!!!

Hi Lisa,
we need all the nurses and midwives we can get....in QLD. You will be welcomed with open arms and your husband should not have any problem finding work as a plasterer, although housing starts have slumped a bit due to the global money crisis. You will like it in QLD; it's a great place to live and don't forget to visit the Gold Coast when you get settled. We can have a cuppa!
