Default private tuition

Hi we are currently in the process of coming over to Brisbane, the thing is my 8 year old son is sadly struggling at school, this was due to bad start to his school life as he was bullied by older children. We moved schools and area so that my son could have fresh start in a better environment and at his new school he is getting a lot of extra is it likely that he would go back a year in Australia or do you think he would stay with his normal year group. And one more is extra tuition easy to source. Many thanks Suzy

Hi Suzy,

I don't have kids so I don't talk from personal experience If you check through the posts it seems that some kids from the UK have to re-do a year here anyway but that seems to put them with kids their own age.

If you do a google search there is loads of private tuition in the Brisbane area for all sorts of subjects. I think it will just be a case of finding the right one for your son.

Regards,
Karen

Suzyt
Sorry to hear about your sons bullying.

Most schools will offer some sort of extra tuition if needed, otherwise, ask the school for suggestions.
There may be college/uni students in your area who are happy to work for a few hrs a week (which would help your son, and help the student pay their way through school)
Perhaps also, try putting an add on the board in the local supermarket or paper.
