never heard of pcc from police station, how it works in India, you get it from teh passport office, if the police verification is clear on your passport then the pp office stamps your passport as is, else they get police verification done adn then stamp your passport once it is clear.

Hi I got mine few weeks back from thane Passport office.
U need to fill a form hen they will circulate that to the police commissioner office from there it goes to local police station on verification through the same route it comes back to passport office. then passport office will deliver ur passport and pcc to ur address through a registered post.
I got it within 4 days but my wife's pcc took 30 days as her passport was issued from another state.

hope this helps.

Thanks for info Gaurav.

Even my passort is issued through Thane office, but after my marriage i moved to my husband house in worli.

Do police come to house for verification, as no one lives at the address mentioned in my passport, we sold that property and moved to new one.

Any idea you have about this.

Thanks.
