Default Visa Processing Methodology

hello expats,

I just like to clear my confusion about visa processing methodology. How usually applications process after case officer allocation, for example If I have applied for 176 under SMP and appointed the case officer but unfortunately my occupation removes from nominated sates list however exist in shedule4 in which category i would be fallen.

If I fall in cat4 would it affect the processing of my application or the applications are treated in same way after co allocation.

IMINAUS.

Priority depends on the SMP of the state nominating you. Schedule 4 is not a priority-setting list in itself. The priority is set by existence of the occupation in the SMPs.

thanks twister,

I just like to confirm about the applications applied under SMP and processing in final stage now, also their occupation removed from nominated state SMP so how these applications would be treated. I read on a forum that SMP applications fall in cat2 by default.

..

I think if the application is removed from SMP but the occupation is still in Schedule 3 it goes to P3.

when the new list for each state was announced did the state confirm they are offering you SMP again? i mean did they renew your sponsorship? if not then you fall in cat 4. we got an email from ACT saying they are willing to continue with our SMP provided we are committed and we had to send them a proof of our commitment. when we did they confirmed they are very much going ahead with our sponsorship. they then sent a confirmation to DIAC and we got a CO in a month
