Default Online Application:Passport Expiry

Hi ,

I was filling out the application for PR 176 and it was written that it is recommended that your passport should not be expiring in next 6 months.

My Passport is valid till next 10 months. Does it make any thing difficult for my application? It usually take more than a year and half to process the application from Pakistan. So what with would be procedure after passport get expires?

I need to apply before July so its hard to get new passport in one week.

Apply with your current passport then apply for you your new passport when you need to. When you have your new passport your let DIAC know by emailing them & uploading a scanned copy of it.

Apply with your current passport. you can update with your new passport later whenever new one comes. My passport was in expiry stage before CO allocation. I updated CO about new passport as soon as it was handed to me from passport office. however you update it as soon before CO allocation as it may delay the process.
