Hey Anj!

Its good to hear from you... literally over a period of time we have become a family. I was actually waiting for your "Reached" post desperately.

I am so happy that things went good.

I am confident that you will be able to find a job soon. My prayers are with you.

thanks everyone

Dolly, good thing is i am at a friend's. her husband, a real darling, took my shekhar to airport west, got a phone connection, got westpac account activated, there was some Indian there who assisted in most of things.

i do feel settled, not completely but yes moving to a settled household does help. i dont have to go hunting for good brand of milk or washing pwd etc, everything is here

and i do not suggest carrying too much stuff, like we did, for those who already use high end brands it is insane to uy things from there. a starter kit for the kitchen with 2 pans, 2 cooking vessels for 29$. i will keep adding as and when i get to know things

Glad to hear that you made it to Aus safely Anj. Keep us posted about your experience. I went through your 'Preparation so far' thread and copied down all the useful info in my little 'Oz Migration' notebook.

Welcome to Oz Anj, I've been waiting a long time for this thread and finally you are here. The unsettled will vary with the days, often for me if it's a sunny day I'm happier than when it's a cloudy day.

One day when I visit Mel I'll be sure to visit.
