Default Irish Primary Teacher looking to move to Perth

No idea where to begin. I've a 3 year teaching degree & 6 years experience and am looking to make a permanent move to Perth. My husband has worked in the I.T. sector for about 10 years but has no 3rd level qualifications. We have two children aged 8 & 10.

Start by looking at this, then come back with more specific questions.

There is no need for teachers in Australia at any level at the moment. Believe it or not the economy here atm is not that crash hot with some parts of Australia eqivilant to Ireland.

Your husband will stand a better chance of migrating if he has a few certifications.

It looked like there were jobs available in math, science and special education. I noticed many are fixed term and you have to look for the ongoing employments.

Hi Bluedoor.

Have you thought of South Australia? They are sponsoring Primary and Pre Primary (at least they were last time I looked a few weeks ago).

2 years in SA and then move to Perth - it's an option!
Regards
