Default Indians Moving To Oztralia Currently In Oztralia

Hi there, i know here are many aspirants who are and will be moving to australia explore that beautiful land for education or permanent residency. This forum would act as a channel for all indians and others to share information about pre and post migration issues. Since the current australian immigration process is delayed a lot, this forum would act as a bulleting board so that we can enjoy our process a lot.

So guys lets rock n roll in this forum.

I am sure a lot of people would come forward and start to form a soon to be INDIAN EXPAT COMMUNITY in OZ.

That's exactly what this forum has been doing for quite a while now

However when it comes to up to date bulletins we rely on the agents to post on here (which they do sometimes) since the majority of us are not agents.
Also our advice is based on personal experience and what we went through and may not be applicable to everyone depending on their individual circumstances.

When in doubt, and especially if it's something complex, it's always best to check with an agent.

Regards,
Karen

Hi Sumeet,

I came out here with my husband just over a year ago on a skilled independent visa with my husband (gardener) as main applicant and myself (IT programmer) as second applicant.

Regards,
Karen

Hi IndianKrxcute,

Have you checked out the "PLEASE READ...." sticky post towards the top of the forum? That has links to job websites where you can check out your particular skills - especially since IT covers such as broad range of skills.

Regards,
Karen

depends on where you stay, what you work as, there is no general figure as salary. but yes, an average for a family of three would be 2500-3000 A$ (lower limit) a month which rental, grocery, electricity, transportation and the day to day chores.

Hi All,

I would like to know what are the chances of getting a job in oz when compared to india. We have heard that there is a huge vacancy for the skilled immigrants in oz is it true?

If a person goes to oz on a skilled migrant visa and doesnt get a job in oz what does the oz government do for such candidates?

How reliable the job consultants are in oz? Do they really help us in getting a job.

Im a Mechanical Engineer, applied for 175 skilled visa, waiting for co allotment.
Where and how should i start my job hunt in melbourne.

Regards,
Sumeet Gladson

Hi,

I was just going through the DIAC website and found that there is a skill matching database which will be used by the employers in australia to get there candidates.

Can anybody please tell me how to register for the Skill Matching Database?

Many Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Sumeet
