Default Relatives able to emigrate to Australia??

Hello All

I was wondering if my sister could come to Australia with her two sons, one is 25 and one is 14. She is not in the best of health (possible MS) and I wanted her to be close to me if her health one day takes a turn for the worst. Can I sponsor her once I am a permanent resident even though she has bad health? How strict is immigration on this topic??

Hi there, you can only sponser a sibling if she is the last remaining relative in the UK incl parents. They are so strict. I have 2 sisters in OZ (8 years on) and my childs father i(my ex) is Australian and I cannot get a visa through them at all. They are also very strict on illnesses as they do not want you to rely on there health system. I hope this helps.

Hi Ronda,

Have you checked this with an agent?
For the visa types and conditions please check the "PLEASE READ...." post if you haven't already done so.
I'm not sure about the health issues but an agent should be able to give you a better idea.

Regards,
Karen

You're welcome.

I'm from the UK (half English, half Jamaican) and we moved out here just over a year ago.

Regards,
Karen
