Weve just arrived in Adelaide. Havent ventured beyond the city centre yet though but am enjoying it so far. Looking for cars and places to stay right now.

Hi Tokboy,
how jealous am i? I wish i was in Adelaide just now, but November is my eta....
Do look around the area, so much to see and do.
The central market on saturday; fresh local produce, reasonably priced and so much better than the u.k's sad offerings! Lots of fishmongers, butchers, florists etc. Good convenient parking too, which costs about $5..
The Marion centre is also ok. Many shops, cinema, good parking, pubs; you can even get a massage on those aching shoulders! Plenty of places to eat there; japanese, chinese, big mac! indian, omg my mouth waters at the thought.
Venture out to Haandorf, very pretty. Haandorf inn does really good food, and the locals are nice.
Take the tram to Glenelg, cafe culture is there. Takes about 20 mins from cbd, and is dirt cheap ($2.50).
Let me know how you get on with accomadation; be nice to get a "newbie" perspective
Enjoy, but save some for me pls....
Jane
