Default newly qualified nurse

Hi guys,

just came across this site, looks like it will be a great help.
My partner and i are hoping to make the move to Australia after going on the most amazing holiday out there last year.
I am a newly qualified children's nurse and have been working since August in a children's community nursing team.
We were going to wait a couple of years to go out there while i get some experience but we are both on the skilled occupation list and have a real urge to make the move soon and i am wondering if anyone has some good advice for us on where to start?
I know i need to apply for nursing registration and as we have family out in Australia it seems the best way forward is the sponsored visa but i know this takes quite a long time. We are worried that if we were to go out on a working visa, we would then have to come back as another visa would not be granted in time?!

I would appreciate any feedback.

Thank you
