Default Application nearly there!

Hi Everyone, we have just about finished our painful application for subclass 309-100! Feels like we have a weight lifted off our shoulders.

I am going to send it to London house on Wednesday, just waiting to get my friends statement for our character references.
Does anyone know wether they take your passport at any time I presumed they contact you via email/post and request more information etc, but what happens when its all approved? Do you then have to send your passport to London?. We were hoping that it was done electronically so we could go travelling for the next 4months. Is there anything we will need to be in the uk for?

Has anyone had to do a interview as well?>

Have included these documents certified
Birth certificate
Marriage Certificate
Passports
Bank statements(one per year)
tenancy agreement
council tax
water and elec bill

Other documents not certified but not originals(all scanned and printed)
wages slips
p60s
phone bills
virgin bills
emails from friends/family spread over years with dates
letter from employers
photos various
travel insurance
travel itenaries
my husbands mums statement to say we lived with her the first year or so.
copies of passport with stamps from countries we visited.

Is there anything i should include/not include?

We have sent off for police checks, they should be at the embassy in 2 weeks or so.
And my husband has his health check in 10 days...

Somebody was saying that they needed to do a form 80. Does anybody know of this?
And do we have to include anymore charcter forms/statements?

Thanks everyone!! Im so glad this forum exists or I may have gone mad!
Melanie

I believe it is a sticker so they'll need your PP for about a week. However if you inform your CO of your travel dates and where your going they can finesse the grant date to when you're back in the UK, mainly you need to be careful about travelling to Australia during the travel period as you need to have your visa granted outside of Australia (as it was an outside of AU application the grant is also outside of AU).
