Default Teaching in Queensland

I am hoping to emigrate with my family to Queensland, once we are able to sell our home. However I keep hearing contradictory feedback on the demand for secondary school teachers over there. Although I am history trained (PGCE), I have taught Mathematics for the last 8 years and its down this route I intend to apply. However it will be only at A and B level. Level C is beyond my capabilities at present!. Are there any teachers in the Brisbane/Gold Coast area who can give me any info on the job situation at present and how teaching in Australia is different to back home in England. Any advice really would be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance.

The Job situation for cities and decent areas is absolutely stuffed Nationwide. Over the past 5 years the government has done a masive recruitment job.

The need for teachers stems only at rural areas. But once you have done 2-3 maybe even 1 year opporunties in the city will happen. It's got noting to do with experience it's about waiting your turn so to speak with teachers.
