Question RSMS visa question

Has anyone managed to get to oz on the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme?
My OH is a cabinetmaker and he is 47. He will not be able to get enough points with the new rules in July, so our only chance will be the RSMS subclass 119 visa.
We are not ready to give up the dream yet. Any positives please.

Even under the current rules age is a factor (they cut off at age 45).

See this page:
Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (Subclass 119/857)

You'd have to see if he can be exempted from the age requirement but I think those are on a case by case basis.

You can apply for a 457 if he can be sponsored by an employer in AU. But that is max for 4 yrs. You would still need to apply for a PR later.
