Sponsorship Info

Hi Guys,

I am arriving in Sydney soon on work/travel visa. I am looking to find job that I can be Sponsored in within Sydney. I work in IT/Account Management area, Is there any site or information on Companies that are looking to sponsor skilled workers in this area?? What are the best Recruitment agencies i the City for
recruitment in IT?

Hi Don,

Most of the people I know (from this forum) who get sponsored do so from the UK and not while they're here in Oz. I don't think that there is any specific website that has sponsorship on it although you may want to check out Liana Allan's post since she did mention a website like that a while ago.

If you check out the "PLEASE READ..." post that has some links to agencies and I would add to that jobserve.com for IT. However those jobs usually state that people must have the right to work here but it will give you a list of agencies.

Hi Don,

Generally speaking, as Karen said, most people secure sponsorship from a company before they get to Australia. There aren't many companies that do actually sponsor (percentage wise).

Your best bet would be to trawl the recruitment agencies when you arrive and see what they can do for you.

We used Greythorn and Hudsons when we were looking for IT jobs. Husband got his job through Gemteq.
