I'm afraid you'll find grocery shopping a tad more expensive than you'd have thought or hoped. We've been here 8 months and seen a considerable rise in our weekly shopping bill.

Congratulations on getting to Australia! If it helps...its still pouring with rain here in the Uk too!
Good luck with settling in, hope the sunshine comes out soon, im sure it will.
I just want to add that these posts are amazing, they just show that this forum is a real strength & support network to people, Gail has posted on the day she is leaving the Uk & also as soon as she gets to Australia almost to let the forum know shes 'arrived safe & sound'
I have visited many forums myself, but I do keep coming back here, as the people are so friendly & this goes to prove that fact.
