Default Second working holiday visa and retail plant work

Hi. I am currently trying to find a job in order to complete the 3 months of regional work for a second working holiday visa.
With one of the specified work types being "plant cultivation", would 3 months of work in the plants section of a, for example, Bunnings in Darwin, be eligible? I'm not sure if plant cultivation refers to out of town large scale plant nurseries/farms, etc. The Immigration guidelines don't say that you can't cultivate plants in a retail environment, so I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas. Any thoughts would be much appreciated! Cheers.

No Darwin is regarded as a major centre it won't count. Regional means regional as in places where most ordinary Australians won't care to visit for their entire lives. Bite the bullet and do harvesting, apprently it's loads of fun!

Thanks for the reply, mate, but I'm just a bit confused because this is what's listed on the DIAC website:
"Northern Territory- All of Northern Territory is classified as part
of regional Australia."

South Australia and Tassie are also listed as entirely regional areas, so would nursery work in Adelaide or Hobart count?

Look i'm not 100% but I don't think so. Adelaide is a major city and Hobart still gets plenty of working holiday visas on it's own merit. The regional work side is to get labour out these areas which in general they would struggle to get any form of normal employment. The reward is the 2nd year visa but in Adelaide or Hobart employees would regulary compete for jobs.

You should contact DIAC and just ask them. The last thing you want to do is work in an area that won't allow you to have the extension.
