Default Looking to move to Australia

I am 37 years of age with a wife and two young children.
I am looking into emigrating to Australia but I do not think I/we have the qualifications to enter via the skilled route. I am a gardener with my own successful business and have 20 years experience in the horticultural trade. Will this be enough or will I have to do a course of some sort (bearing in mind I am working full time and do not have the time or money to do a full time course). Also what would be the equivalent course in the UK to qualify in Australia.

Hope someone can help. Cheers.

Hi There,
you could apply for the state visa 176, all together takes 6-12months your profession is on the southern and ACT demand list, general and landscape look up Visa Bureau - Global visa and immigration services, before you apply for anything you will first need to send away to trade recognition Trades Recognition Australia - Home this is 200 Aus dollars, then you can apply for state sponsorship, i helped my cousin he is also a gardener he just sent his in the post yesterday.... best of luck

Hi there,

Welcome to the forum.

Your skill is on the SOL. You don't have to have formal qualifications to be able to apply for a visa: Gardener (General) - 362211

Have a look here to work out which visa would suit your circumstances: Australian Visa Wizard - Visas & Immigration

Hi. Thankyou both for your help.
I see my occupation is on the southern and act demand list but it is not on the main SOL list. I am really lookng to go to WA (freemantle area) where I have relatives including my Aunt who would be willing to sponsor me. Would this be an easier and less expensive route.

Thanks again.
