Default Lateral move from RN to RAAF

Hello all,

I have been reading through the forums and cant seem to find any thread relating to my questions.

I am currently serving in the Royal navy and I will be leaving in Nov 08. Emigrating has been on our minds for a while now. We are thinking of moving to Oz (obviously). I am realy wanting to get some info on the whole lateral moving to the RAAF. My situation is probably slightly different to most lateral movers. Most people seem to move straight across from the RAF to the RAAF. My situation will be moving from the RN to the RAAF. Has anyone on this forum gone through the same process?

I see that they have jobs that they are recruiting for on the defence site, and this is up for review at the end of this month. Does anyone know what the next list of jobs will be?

Moving over will be my wife, my son (nearly 2) and my self.

Any help would be appreciated in the process and time it takes.

Thank you in advance

Sy

Hi Sy,

Welcome to the forum.

Have you contacted any migration agents about this? They may have a better idea on how to go about this. we have 2 agents occasionally on the forum - Alan Collett and Liana Allan and they may be able to point you in the right direction.

Regards,
Karen
