Default Aircraft engineer/technician seeks employment

Hi Guys

My family and I are soon to move to adelaide australia from england and I am on the job hunt, and so am hoping that someone would be able to give me some advice or direction.

I am currently employed as a Royal Navy Aircraft enginneer with experience on both Mk5 and Mk 7 Seaking Rotary wing aircraft, so i would like to stay within this field.

I would preferebly like to work in the adelaide area, but if this is not viable i would be willing to travel.

If you would like more information please dont hesitate to message.

I hope that someone will hear my call and advise in some way or other. (even a small bit of advise would be of great help).

Thanks

Hi there,

As you're probably aware, finding a job in that field isn't going to be easy.

The only thing I can suggest is hitting the recruitment agencies/job websites and see what you come up with. The job websites usually give the agencies names and you could then approach them directly. Hopefully they in turn would point you in the right direction. Alternatively do some research on companies you could contact directly.

This is all I could come up with, not sure if they are of any help:

Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (LAME) Job - AUSTRALIA - AU - Adelaide - Ceefa Consulting
Avionics Technician Job - AUSTRALIA - SA - Raytheon
Careers - BAE Systems
Aerospace and aviation - Government of South Australia

Hi sthomas 157,

I was just wondering how you got on with the job search. Myself and my partner are moving to Adelaide from Ireland this time next year and we are both Aviation engineers with experience in a320 family and Boeing.

Is there much aviation work in Adelaide ?
Did you come across aviation contracting agencies?
What is your opinion of living in Adelaide so far?

Any advice would be appreciated,
Cheers
