Smile Visa application

Hi all,

We are over the moon at the moment. Got all our paperwork sorted out and now we just need to apply for our vise. We are applying under 175, so there's lots of papers to sort out. Just a note to everyone else out there, when you send stuff to all the relevant bodies make sure that you keep certified copies for everything you've mailed to them as you'll need that for your actual visa.

Have a lovely day

In our case, the ACS application (which we have passed) costed us 350A$, the consultant charged us 500A$ initially plus 100A$ as filing charges, Once the ACS result wa sout we paid another 500A$ to the consultant as his fee. Further on we have to now apply for the visa after all our papers are sorted, which is a HUGE task. IELTS, Passports with spouse name added, Other certificates.. whew... never thought paperwork was so important in my life..

All in all we will be paying close to 1,80,000 Indian rupee for the entire process. One A$ equals 38-39 Indian Rupees. SO you can calculate.

Hope this helps.
Anj

Oh, and we will keep paying the Consultant every step we cross, about 500A$ everytime. We have paid 1100A$ already and I guess we need to pay another 1000A$ if I remember correctly, so its not a one time payment, we keep paying as the time passes. It makes life much easier for us. We get to see our money in the bank for longer. :P

Hi,

We're doing it our selves, as we don't have family dependants except my 6 year old. Then it's not so expensive. ACS was A$350, IELTS test round about A$250 per person (older than 18 years if you want or need the extra points). Visa costs in 2 installments: 1st installment A$2060 and 2nd installment $2860. There is extra costs involved for unabridged marriage certificates and birth certificates. In our case for SA we paid R200 (about A$28) for 3 birth certificates and a marriage certificate. Hope this helps.

Regards
Catz
