what if I dont repay my loan????

can anyone help. I want to emigrate to oz, but want to know what would happen if I went without repaying my £20,000 loan in the uk. and what if you didn`t repay your credit cards???? would you get away with it???

Why not just got Bankrupt mate, then they wont chase you down, i dont think it would effect your migration either

I wouldnt chance it...of course they will track you for the money.

Why not just make payments from Oz to the UK.

I know of people who have moved from 1 country to another...to be tracked down....NOT worth it.

Obviously I don't know your circumstances but I would say that you would be worried about people coming after you if you didn't sort it out. Your credit record won't follow you to Australia but if (and I said if) your financial issues are caused because you're not good at managing money that will be with you where ever you live and you are likely to do the same in Oz.

If the creditors start criminal proceedings because you skipped without paying then that could affect any move to Oz since your police records are checked.

Why are you leaving the UK?
Is it because of your financial situation?
It seems that people are happier in their move if they are moving to Oz to go to something rather than leaving the UK because they are running away from something.

Thanks for your reply. I am going to pay the loan off as I will be coming into some money but just wanted to know what would happen if I didn`t. Iv got a very good credit report and am good with my financies.
