Question Addition of Wife/Spouse in DIAC Application for GSM 176

Hey...

I am applying for 176 by end of this year. I wanted to ask if I apply for 176 in December as a single applicant, but as I am planning to get married in March/April so would there be any issue in adding my wife in the same application afterwards? Can i add spouse at any point before the visa is granted and would she get the same status i.e. PR with same visa timelines?

As i would have been sponsored by eligible relative, would they have to re sponsor both of us or what would be the scenario in this case?

Would I have to pay any additional fees for adding up spouse to application or just the first installment which I have to pay with initial application?

Furthermore , What does second installment means i.e. fee for the applicants below english language requirement. Does it mean my wife has to clear the IELTS test too? If yes then what are the min requirements.

If No then what documents need to be presented to DIAC in order to proove the language ability to avoid second installment. Can I present the documents proving that the mode of language in her graduation was english.

Thanks

You can add wife or child anytime but before grant.

As i would have been sponsored by eligible relative, would they have to re sponsor both of us or what would be the scenario in this case?
I think no but not sure.

Would I have to pay any additional fees for adding up spouse to application or just the first installment which I have to pay with initial application?
No fee at all but again before visa grant.
Furthermore , What does second installment means i.e. fee for the applicants below english language requirement. Does it mean my wife has to clear the IELTS test too? If yes then what are the min requirements.
Yes IELTS is required minimum is 4.5 overall.

If No then what documents need to be presented to DIAC in order to proove the language ability to avoid second installment. Can I present the documents proving that the mode of language in her graduation was english.
Yes a letter from the institution stating medium of instruction is English will work.

Thanks

Hi,

Family sponorship is required only by primary applicant. In this case you are the primary applicant and your wouldbe wife will be depend/secondary applicant.

So no worries....
