Default Oh no Visa issue..help!

I've just applied through the ETA website for an Australian tourist visa. Departure date is end June, and my trip's only for a week.

After I've filled in all the details, the results are that it's not approved. Oh gosh why not? I fulfil every single requirement for the Visa. No criminal records, passport on the approved list, not currently in Australia..

My only suspicion is that I used a Visa debit card to pay for the online fee of AUD$20. Could that be the reason? Can someone confirm?

Mmmmmmmmmmmm maybe I am missing something here and others will definatley be able to help you with visa questions, but if you are only going for one week shouldnt you get a tourist visa automatically with your booking of your ticket???? As long as you have a return date no longer than 3 months.
I could have missed something but someone will be along very soon and clear this up... good luck

Hmm...I booked my air ticket from a website, not an agent, that's why I didn't get any help for my Visa. Hope this goes through... Thanks for your reply

Hi Miss Swan,

Have you checked back in 12 hours? On the website it suggests that if it isn't approved automatically to check back in 12 hours to confirm whether or not it's been successful.

Hope it's been approved now,
Karen

Hi kaz101/Karen, thanks for your concern. It's really heartwarming to receive our members' replies Yep I'll wait for another 6 more hours to reach the 12-hour mark.

I also noticed a message on the ETA website saying that some changes have been made from April 2008.

Updates soon!
