Talking Going for our meds

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the e-mail it is nice to know that we have been missed.

Just thought I would let you know the current position on our application.

Today (27/5/08) I have sent off the Police Check Application. On Friday we have our x rays and on Monday our Meds. Steve is going to London on Friday for an interview to obtain an Australian passport for Kayleigh. Our application is all ready now and as soon as we have the results of the above I will be submitting the application. I would say max 3 weeks (hopefully).

One problem though we still have not managed to sell our house and the move is dependent on it. Still hopefully we will have some news on that soon. Obviously I will keep you updated.

I have been reading the Forum on a daily basis and it is really good to hear that scottiscelts and beanoboys have got their Visas our warmest congratulations go out to them

We are hoping to be able to collect our med results in order that we can send them off with the application but I will not know if this is possible until we get there on Monday. I am unsure as to the procedure as far as that is concerned. I don't know if anyone can enlighten me on that one?

So on the whole the process is going swimmingly at the moment and hopefully I will have my Spouse Visa fairly soon.

Regards and best wishes to all.

Karen & Steve x

Hey Karen & Steve hang on in there, you are getting there!

We are in the same boat too, only at the mo it's worse for us as we have our visas but still havent managed to sell our house yet and its driving us nuts, no one is buying at the moment (thanks banks) - they are not giving anyone 100% mortgages and its a nitemare.

Good luck and keep posting

Hi Karen & Steve,

You're nearly there now! Good luck for Friday and Monday. I can remember getting really worked up about having the medicals, but there was really nothing to it.

Keep us posted...

Dolly

Hey scottiscelts thanks for your response.

Don't you believe it thanks very much to the banks and all the other scare mongers out there. What are they thinking about doing all this when we are trying to sell our houses how very dare they very inconsiderate I think they could at least have waited until we have sold our houses

I feel for you where your situation is concerned. Are you dependent on selling to make your move? I dread to think what I will be like if the same thing happens here. Still hopefully a price reduction in our property will get things moving. I don't know you hand something to people on a plate (all our furniture even the loo rolls) and they don't even want to come and have a look. Their loss really as we have only lived at this house for 2 years and everything in it is virtually brand new a bit ungrateful I think I am sure that the market will start picking up soon and we will all be on our way to a better and more fulfilling future

Will of course keep posting as I am to excited not to

Regards

Karen & Steve

Hey there Dolly thanks for the response.

I am sure there is nothing to the meds but I just can't help wondering whether they will find something that I don't know about and then what will I do. Silly really I know but I always fear the worst. Something that does worry me though is supplying a pee sample. What if I don't need to go??? of of course how sill I always pee a lot when I am anxious or nervous I think it might be something to do with my age

Of course I will keep you posed try keeping me quiet when everything comes together I will be shouting from the roof tops andbeing a Pompey girl you will probably hear me in Oz

Regards

Karen & Steve
