Smile Funds for State Sponsorship

Hi,

Till now as far as I know, no state have released there updated State Sponsorship Plan yet.

My query to those lucky friends who have got SS (GSM-176) on different states:

1. Among 8 states which state requires to show funds and amount?

2. What are the documents usually needed to submit for State Sponsorship?

3. How long does it takes to get the sponsorship?

There r six states & 2 territories in Aus.

1. All states and territories have requirement of funds.
2. Following basic documents are required by each state.territory
Positive assesment letter
Bank Statement
Ielts Copy
Qualification degrees/marks sheets
CV
Passport Copy
3. As per states website, it takes from 1 month (ACT) to 8 months (Northern Territory) but usual time range is 3 to 5 months.

Thats also vary from state to state..... i.e. South Aus requires fund of atleast 25000 AUD for main applicant and additional 5000 AUD for additional applicant, Northern Territory requires fund of 35000 AUD for main applicant. Usual Range is 25000 to 35000 AUD for most states.

Each state requires a commitment statement as well. You have to write in your words why the particular state is good for you.

hi Ali,

I am thinking to apply for VIC sponsorship.

As of now, I don't have any funds maintained in my account . Now I want to apply for sponsorship in 2-3 days. How can I support my application with respect to funds requirement? Do I need to send any proofs with initial application itself or just a rough estimation can be given on paper (including all funds what I can manage before moving to state)? In essence, How do i need to present "funds requirement set by state" with my initial application.

Thanks,
-Balji

hi Balji

the state wants liquid/transferable assets that they consider as funds. It can be in form of cash, bonds, Fixed Deposits, and no they do not consider jewelry as asset or even your car or property.

I am not sure how victoria works it as i have heard people getting sponsorship without showing any funds but ACT (we have ACT sponsorship) is very aprticular. they asked for our funds proofs thrice, first tiem we gave just available balance statement, they asked for statements for last three months, we gave teh same, they were then holding all IT apps fr some reason, once they started processing apps again fro IT, they asked for funds proof again to make sure we have enough still.

Is there anything mentioned on their checklist about funds and proofs of the same?

Hi,
I have just applied for Vic Sponsorship. They have mentioned at their site and in application as well that fund can be cash in hand, cash at bank, car, bonds, saving certificates, gold, jewelry, stock. They have not asked for any proof yet and not mentioned in the checklist that documentary proof is required for funds. Let see what they do, whether they ask for proof or not .

BR,
Tauqir

So have they asked for any proof of funds yet ??? and most importantly, have you got the sponsorship?
