Smile airline to fly with ??? maybe business class

sounding really posh here now, but thinking about flying business class with the baby of15 months old
family have pitched together and are paying the tickets as our present and this is on offer, so might just do
be a hell of a lot easier that a baby so active stuck in the normal seat for 27 hours
so which airline have the big lie down chairs like the bed, if all that money going to it do not want to be in big arm chair, wan the lie down one so she might sleep
i know i am lucky

Hi Madje,

I would check with the airlines or do a search in google.
I haven't flown business class long distance so I can't answer your question.
Most of the airlines provides cots that attach to the bulk head so that the baby can sleep in a normal position. I'm not sure at what age they stop supplying the cots. That's in economy class by the way.

Regards,
Karen

Any business class is first class. If you ask me, I will opt for SIA cos I am a Singaporean and SIA first-class has all the comforts you can imagine except for a swimming pool.

But I am a miser so I normally stick with JetAir or something! ~sticking out tongue~

You have a super-lucky BABY!

Remember to take a few shots or videos while in first-class!

I know my parents used Singapore airlines Business class and were very happy
I go economy but have always used British airways and Qantas for years..... This next trip. one way back home to Brissy I am going economy with an airline called etihad... I think its the new emerites... Travel agent recommended them as they are have a new fleet of planes and go our of their way in Customer serivce to complete well with the big airlines... they may be worth a look up on google.... I found last few trips with B.A and Qantas their planes were tired looking, 2 of our 4 tv's werent working.....
So sorry cant help as I personally havent been business class... But I can understand why you might like the comfort with a small one! We have done the trip from Ireland to Aus 5 times with 2 kids... Good luck

Cool Things to consider when flying business

I have flown the following airlines long haul business class:
British Airways, Jet and Virgin. Colleagues have also flown Emirates and
KLM.
All, except KLM had flat beds - this is easy to check on the airline
websites though.

Virgin has the best beds (they actually have a mattress rather than just
being in a folded down seat), you get pyjamas and the seats are very
private. They also have the best clubhouse - worth turning up early just to
use this before your flight! There is a bar, restaurant, pool tables,
library, beauty therapy, hairdressers and lots of other cool stuff (check
there website) its all free and you can have one "beauty" treatment there
free too - a spray tan before you fly? Massage? Unfortunately they have
just withdrawn the onboard massages - which is a real shame as it was
bliss!

Jet seats are side by side so less private - however the service is some of
the best I have come across. The Business lounge is shared with one of the
American airlines (terminal 3) and is fine. Free bar, comfy, but not
exactly Virgin Clubhouse standards.

BA is my least fave carrier - although due to cost and convenience the one
I am unfortunatley flying with myself to Oz. Economy class Boo. It has flat
bed seats, best if you can get the top deck ones and also a Clubhouse
Kitchen, where you can pick up things to eat at any time. The business
lounge is ok. Bar, snacks, showers etc.

I have heard that Emirates is really really good (check out first class on
their website, its heavenly) and also heard good things about Ethiad. Also
Singapore Airlines has a very good reputation.

Another good tip is to check out Airline Seating Charts, Best Airplane Seats - SeatGuru. This website shows you
all the seating configurations for all the planes in each airlines fleet.
So from that you can see where your seat will be and how close it is to the
galley/ toilet/ bulkheads etc. It also indicates the best seats and the
worst seats in each class. Business class guarantees you a nice big seat
but if you end up with the one which backs right onto the toilet you won't
necessarily get a peaceful nights sleep.

Also check out babyworld - new parents - travel - the best family airlines
which shows the best airlines for children and also sites like
Airline Reviews, Compare Airline Rankings & Reviews on Holiday Jets which lets you compare airlines. However,
take these with a pinch of salt as people are much more likely to post when
they are unhappy than happy.

Its also worth taking a look at the luggage allowances. E.g. On BA you get
three cases at 23kg where on Virgin you get 3 each weighing 32kg - that's
quite a difference.

Finally remember and sign up for the airlines frequent flyer programme. A
long haul in business class should earn you enough points for a domestic
flight at another time.

Good luck and let me know if you need any other advice.

Excellent post Gail...thanks very much.

Alas, we've always flown pleb class .... and don't the airlines just love to rub your noses in it by getting you to walk through business class so you can see what you're missing
