Question price of accomadation melbourne

any advice on price of houses to rent or apartments in melbourne
would like a 3 bedroom, not sure where to live. rent will defintely come into it
port melbourne probably is very expensive what about areas like hiddleberg, clifton hill, richmond etc or williamstown.
would love a house i think more that an apartment especially because of the baby so she can run about outside:

Hi Madje,

If you check out the "Please read...." post that has links to property websites that do rentals as well as sales. That should give you a good idea for the areas you're looking at.

Regards,
Karen

Hi Madje,

The "Please read...." post is towards the top of this section (Australian country forum). If you get to this post through an email click on the top of the page that says 'Australia Expat Forum for Expats Living in Australia' and that will take you to the Australian country forum.

Regards,
Karen

Hi madje,

You could always use the search facility and see previous posts on melbourne accommodation. You'll find the search icon at the top of the screen, it's on the first black information bar which goes across the screen and it's the third icon from the right.

All the areas you are looking at are still going to be quite expensive,as they are close to the CBD.

How far out you live will depend on where you are working, but Melbourne has a great public transport system

Have a look at Real Estate, Property, Land and Homes for Sale, lease and rent - realestate.com.au
Click on Vic and search through the suburbs

Good luck

I find Moving to Sydney or Melbourne? Find where to live with Cityhobo - Home a great resource for checking out suburbs in Sydney and Melbourne. You can search by city and type e.g. Executive, family, single, traveller and it will give you some idea of the best burbs to be in.
What I particularly like, but I'm sad, is that it compares each suburb to a shoe. So if its a hippy pace its a Birkenstock and if its middle class its an Oxford. Lol, makes me smile
