Default Anybody will apply for SS using old ACSO code which is mapped under schedule 4?

Hi All,

I got Network Security Specialist (2231-79) which is mapped in schedule 4 with Software and Applications Programmers nec (261399).

I got job roles are different for Network Security Specialist (2231-79) and Software and Applications Programmers nec (261399).

My question is that If I apply for sate sponsorship, will they consider me as Software and Applications Programmers nec (261399)

Thank you for your kind attention

You are not in schedule3 and cannot apply for sponsorship, if u want to apply u need a fresh assessment which will be in ANZCO code and then can apply for sponsorship.

SMP is not announced yet, all are waiting, they may announce some kind of transition arrangement for schedule 4 people, but it is just an anticipation at this time.

Decide want to apply for new assessment or will wait for SMP?

Hi Dear,

I have to wait for new SMP because I have no relative in AU and I have no sufficient point for apply subclass 175.

What is your opinion about correlation between Network Security Specialist (2231-79) and Software and Applications Programmers nec (261399) where job roles are different.

Networking and programming are really opposite, ACS and DIAC are working together to announce something better to handle all the specialization of 2231-79 code.

Hi Guys,

Does anyone got any response (accepted/rejected feedback) from the states you applied with a positive ASCO 2231-79 Network Security Specialist?

As most of us have mapped the ASCO 2231-79 to ANZSCO Applications Programmers nec (261399), it will be interesting to know the status.

Any response is appreciated.
