After reading these posts... did a quick search for jobs in DWH (Informatica/BO XI/MS BI/OBIEE etc...) but could see few jobs in Sydney and even little less in Melbourne.
And when we search for jobs in Java/J2EE you will see lots many jobs in Sydney and in Melbourne.

Confused of these findings... does DWH is more hot than that what we see on job sites and reverse for Java/J2ee technologies...

And where these DWH jobs are more in Sydney or Melbourne.

Yes true.....very true....
Java/J2EE has more openings than DWH but somehow the number of calls we(java guys) get doesn't match those they(DWH guys) get:-(

Gopal

Hi All,
One of my friends has got a Java job in Australia. He is not a member of this forum.
After almost 2.5 months of job-hunt, he has finally got a job.It is a permanent one, it seems. Seems like Java market is not all that bad as that of C++/C etc.
Just wanted to share this piece of news with u all.

Regards,
Gopal Desikan

I was happy to see few members from this forum like who migrated to Australia during March-July this year, were courtious enough to come back and share their good / Bad experience in Australia with us like Avinash, Aurita, EE-India, riversandLake etc. They all took a few months to settle down.

I believe gopal, sooner or later things work out for all, it's just a matter of some time.

Best regards,
Randhir Singh.

You are right Ranbir.....Whatever u have said holds true for all the non-C/C++ guys....Looks like C/C++ guys are having a really togh time there...
Java is kinda OK....Within 2-3 months u can at least hope to get a temporary job (contractual)...

Gopal Desikan

It seems the supply of persons in DWH / BI is much less as compared to App Programmers in C/C++ and Java. However Java seems to be more in demand as compared to C / C++.

Does anyone have any feedback regarding Project Management? Also how useful is PMP or Certifed Scrum Master certification?
