Hi everyone,

My turn to ask a question

Has anyone had to apply for an RRV? I'm off to Las Vegas for a conference in July and I thought my permanent visa would be good for trips away until it expired in 2009. However there was a clause that I read online that said I had to be in oz for 2 years. So being confused I rang DIAC and they didn't seem too sure either but were unhappy about the fact that we'd had the visa approved in 2004 but not moved out here until 2007 (which we were within our rights to do by the way!).

Just wondering if anyone else has had personal experience of RRVs. I've filled in the form and will probably contact an agent on Monday to check that I haven't missed anything.....

I thought I'd finished filling in visa forms
Can't wait until I can apply to be a citizen and not have to bother with this visa stuff any more

Just to let everyone know that I rang DIAC again to confirm whether or not I need a RRV and they say I don't! The PR visa I have is valid until it runs out and then I will have to apply for a RRV if I want to leave the country & return.
