Hi,

I would say that Australians are friendly but you have to go to them rather than them coming to you. By that I mean find some social groups, volunteer for some things, find some people with the same hobbies that you have and then you'll make friends. That's what we did but we're a lot older than you are

Regards,
Karen

That's probably because I deleted some posts that were first time posts from people saying that they wanted to be your friend. Anyone that posts that as a first post is very suspect in my book and the post get deleted. However you'll still get the email saying that there's been a post but nothing will be here.

Sorry for the confusion.

Regards,
Karen

It's really down to you because it's much the same as in the UK. If you're friendly and mix with people you'll find friends. Aussies are known for friendliness and a laid back attitude.
