Hi Ive just found out that you must change your UK licence an Australian within 3 months, Im been here more then 3 months therefore i no longer have a valid licence - does anyone know if I will have to resit the whole test now I have exceeded the 3 months or if I can still just transfer it over ??!?!

Hi clairer,
You've been in Brisbane since Jan 08? So, you're only just over the three months. I wouldn't worry about it. If you have a look at this website: Overseas licence holders it looks like you don't have to sit a written test or practical driving test if you're country of origin is on the list. We're in Victoria and all we did was fill in a form, hand over the fee, have a photo taken and hey presto...we have an Australian driving licence. Dolly |
